Discipline is praised by the world—but rarely understood.

The world is often hard for disciplined people.

Before diving into this topic, let us ask ourselves: What is discipline? Where does it come from? Is it universal or subjective? Who taught us discipline—the disciplined or the undisciplined? And why is it important?

Now, disciplined people often seem to suffer more than those who don’t care about discipline. This is because they want the world to be the way they are. However, both groups suffer in their own ways.

A disciplined person finds it difficult to accept things that go against their mindset. They shape themselves through struggle and self-control, which sometimes leads to inner conflict. Discipline is not just about winning, being first, or being celebrated by everyone. It is about how it influences our everyday actions and decisions.

On the other hand, those who do not care about discipline not only suffer themselves but may also affect others. Still, we cannot simply label someone as “undisciplined.” That is why I refer  them as people who do not prioritize discipline.

But there is another type of person—the one who stands between both extremes. This person may not always come first or be celebrated, not a dumb but they understand the game of life. They are neither overly happy nor deeply sad, but maintain a stable mindset. They can be both disciplined and carefree when needed.

That, perhaps, is the true disciplined person—the one who doesn’t rigidly cling to discipline, but knows when to let go. πŸ˜‰

But there is something deeper than discipline—AWARENESS

Discipline tells us what to do.

Awareness tells us when, why, and how to do it.

Without awareness, discipline can become rigid and exhausting.

With awareness, it becomes flexible and meaningful.

It helps us understand when to speak and when to stay silent, when to push forward and when to let go.

In the end, true strength is not just in being disciplined,

but in being aware enough to use discipline wisely.

 Discipline controls life,

  but Awareness understands it.

Extra info;

"Awareness shapes society as much as discipline does".

Discipline gives us the strength to stay consistent—whether we are raising our voice or changing ourselves.

True change comes from awareness guiding discipline—knowing when to resist and when to adapt.

There are two ways to bring change in society. One is through voice—speaking up, questioning, and protesting for change. The other is through action—changing ourselves to create a change around us.

However, just like in personal life, imbalance in either can create struggle. Constantly fighting the system without inner discipline can lead to chaos. At the same time, focusing only on self-change without addressing societal issues can lead to silence and inaction.

  12. Discipline guides actions, but awareness gives them meaning. True strength lies in balancing both—knowing when to push forward and when to let go.

  17. discipline is everythin. At the same time, you’ve fairly acknowledged that lack of discipline also brings its own kind of suffering, which keeps the perspective balanced.
